Only natural materials
Right from the outset, from the very first moment we decided to renovate the farmhouse, sustainability was our top priority.
We decided to use only natural materials (such as wood fibre for wall- and roof-insulation), excluding all those derived from petroleum products. We also gave preference to zero-kilometre materials and products. The parquet floors in the bedrooms are made from wood from certified forests.
Energy Class A
Energy class A is ensured through a number of elements: only LED or low-power lights are used; all household appliances are energy-efficient; a photovoltaic system has been installed that can provide sufficient energy to independently power the heat pump for heating and cooling.
Respect the enviroment
Lastly, we believe that it is also essential to respect the environment through small daily gestures, which is why Casa San Grato has forgotten the meaning of “disposable items”: all bathrooms are fitted with dispensers with eco-friendly soaps and guests are invited to follow recycling procedures.
Casa San Grato was designed in every single detail with the aim of respecting the environment but without sacrificing comfort.
